Modern Slavery statement

Last Updated: March 30, 2025

At Neural Partners, we are committed to upholding human dignity and eliminating all forms of modern slavery, forced labor, and human trafficking. While not legally required under the UK Modern Slavery Act or the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act, we voluntarily publish this statement to demonstrate our commitment to ethical practices and corporate accountability.

Our Business

Neural Partners is a U.S.-based advertising, marketing and artificial intelligence technology agency headquartered in South Burlington, Vermont. We specialize in strategy, data infrastructure, machine learning, and marketing technology. Our business is digital, remote-first, and service-based, which significantly reduces exposure to traditional modern slavery risks.

Risk Assessment

We assess the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chain as low due to:

  • The nature of our services (non-manufacturing, non-physical goods)
  • Our use of U.S.-based and reputable international technology vendors
  • Limited physical procurement beyond software, cloud infrastructure, and professional services

That said, we acknowledge that no supply chain is completely risk-free. We remain vigilant and take steps to ensure ethical conduct throughout our operations.

Our Supply Chain

Our suppliers include:

  • Cloud and infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
  • Software platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Fluency, etc.)
  • Professional services (e.g., legal, accounting, design, etc.)
  • Advertising and media partners (e.g., ad platforms, AI platforms, etc.)

We expect all partners to comply with relevant labor laws and to operate without the use of forced labor, child labor, or human trafficking. Where possible, we engage vendors that demonstrate ethical sourcing and labor practices.

Internal Policies and Governance

We have integrated human rights and ethical sourcing expectations into our operating principles. Key elements include:

  • Operating Agreement Clause: Our founding documents explicitly state our purpose as creating a material positive impact on society and the environment.
  • Code of Ethics: Our Code includes commitments to social responsibility, fair labor, inclusion, and supplier integrity.
  • Supplier Expectations: Although we have not formalized a Supplier Code of Conduct yet, we expect all vendors to uphold basic human rights principles and comply with anti-slavery laws.

Awareness and Training

While our team is small and composed of professionals working in a low-risk industry, we are committed to basic awareness and due diligence practices:

  • Founders and operations leads are briefed on modern slavery risks
  • We monitor supplier-related developments and seek to avoid high-risk categories or regions
  • As we grow, we will explore adding formal training for procurement and operations staff

Reporting and Accountability

Anyone - internally or externally - can report concerns related to unethical labor practices through our general contact channel:

Email: team@neuralpartners.ai
Subject: Ethics Concern

We treat all concerns seriously and investigate credible reports confidentially and without retaliation.

Looking Ahead

We plan to:

  • Formalize a Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Establish a lightweight risk assessment protocol during vendor onboarding
  • Continue reviewing and updating this statement annually or as our risk profile changes
